So I was given the opportunity to review the ZeroWater purification pitcher. We love water at our house! We have well water that has the lovely rotten egg aroma when not treated. We had to purchase a whole house green sand water system when we moved in five years ago. We also purchased an under-the-sink reverse osmosis water system for drinking and then THAT reverse osmosis water also gets ran through the refrigerator filter for the refrigerator tap.
The ZeroWater purification pitcher comes with a cool little TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter tester. I put the three above samples to the test, with the ZeroWater TDS Meter. Take a look at the results here (a zero reading is the best – FDA Recommended – and 500 is the EPA Maximum):
FROM the Whole Water System – 259
From the Reverse Osmosis drinking system – 20
From the Reverse Osmosis AND Refrigerator Filter – 23 (Weird!)
From the ZeroWater Filtered Water – 0
From the PR Firm: Depending on where you live, the purity of your tap water can vary drastically, as standards on municipal water sources are often inadequate and inconsistent. Beyond the health risks, unfiltered tap water often tastes harsh and chemical-like, and the price of bottled water quickly adds up. ZeroWater’s patented 5-stage water filter system is the only system certified to meet the Food and Drug Administration’s standards for Purified Bottled Water, offering you and your family great taste and peace of mind at an affordable cost.
The ZeroWater 10-Cup filter-pitcher is equipped with a laboratory grade tester, so you can measure your tap water before and after it’s filtered and be assured you are drinking crisp, great tasting water, free of all dissolved solids. The pitcher’s sleek design allows for easy fill, refrigeration and pour. ZeroWater products are available online at ZeroWater.com, Amazon.com and many other national retailers, including Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, Home Depot, Meijer and Fry’s.

My Opinion – I thought the water was really crisp and clean tasting. The girls and hubby all had to try the water and we agreed that it was tasty! I plan on putting it in our old fridge downstairs so we can have great drinking water downstairs too. It is definitely better-tasting than the two brands of bottled water we have in the house. I’m really curious to take the TDS Meter to our school and test the drinking water (awful!). Watch it’ll be cleaner than our tap water ran through the green sand system! The water takes a super-long time to filter in the pitcher, but it’s going through five different levels of filtration too. There’s a cool one-hand pull/pour button that’s on the back of the pitcher. It’s resistant enough that Mia and Meg can’t easily get into it. That’s a feature I appreciate it:)
Now for the FUN!
