Sometimes you can get a lot of bang for your gift-giving buck by adding a little hard work and creativity and making your own gifts. They could be edible, practical, or just something you know the recipient would enjoy. Here are a few ideas of some frugal homemade gifts to give:
- Knotted fleece blanket
- Personalized painted pottery from a paint-your-own place
- Special hand-made ornaments
- Homemade chocolates
- Chocolate-caramel-covered apples
- Home-canned fruits, veggies, jam, or salsa
- A special dessert (maybe apple strudel or pumpkin roll?)
- A kit including Homemade Laundry Soap and/or Dishwasher Detergent packaged in cute containers (mason jars with a fabric-covered lid, or a cute re-sealable container?)
- Layered cookie mixes in jars
- Homemade drink mixes
Are you making any homemade gifts this year? I’m always curious what others like to make and give and would love for you to share your gift ideas. Please share in the comments or on Facebook!
