National Donut Day is today: Friday, June 5! Don’t forget to check out all the great deals on donuts today at most places that sell them–you might even want to pre-order since more and more people are becoming aware of this delicious holiday!
The first Friday in June is National Donut Day, which means scoring one of my favorite treats free or cheap. Believe it or not, this holiday actually has commemorates an interesting tidbit of history: it was created by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who gave donuts to soldiers during World War I.
- Krispy Kreme: 1 FREE donut per customer, no other purchase necessary
- Dunkin Donuts: 1 FREE donut per customer with beverage purchase
- Entenmann’s: Enter to win a year’s supply of donuts or other prizes.
- Giant Eagle: Buy 1/2 Dozen, get 1/2 Dozen FREE (not as cheap as last year, but still decent! 🙂 ).
