Meet Tuck and Moses – Steigerwald Farm

I’ve had many ask about the modern farmhouse sign I used in this picture. You can find it on Amazon, and it’s Prime!   This FARM sign is perfect for any farmhouse decor.  The dimensions are 30.5″W x 12″H.  The farm sign is bronzed corrugated metal with red metal FARM letters

I know it’s been a LONG time sisters and misters.  I’m sure you’ve seen that the site has been streamlined and simplified.  Sisters Shopping Farm & Home will be a little bit more of a lifestyle site that focuses on where I am in my life right now.  The rustic farm sign that Tuck (our goat) is kissing really captures a big component of what makes me feel whole in this world right now.  You’ll be getting to see a little more of Tuck and the other goats, chickens, cat, dog, rabbit and donkeys in the near future.  We have acquired quite the little hobby farm.  It truly brings our family joy.  It also grounds my girls and teaches them responsibility, work ethic, empathy among so many other character traits that we aspire to instill.  It also gives our family a purpose to work and play together.

You can see that Tuck is quite the happy wether as well.  He was our first goat and born on the Kentucky Derby in 2016.  His name is Kentucky, but we’ve since shortened it to Tuck.  He’s quite the momma’s boy.  It’s funny, he picks on the girls just like any other brother would do.

It was apparent that Tuck needed a friend.  So we bought Moses.  Moses is our other wether that we rescued from the auction. Since he is a Boer breed, he was sure to be slaughtered.  Moses is very slow and stubborn.  He has the best eyelashes around though.  I’m so tempted to put mascara on them one day!

My husband built them a “playground” out in the middle of the barnyard. Here’s a great pic with Tuck, Moses, my girls and all of the cousins!
