We had such a fun time this weekend having a Lego Star Wars birthday party for my son’s seventh birthday party! I scoured Pinterest for fun, mostly frugal ideas, and came up with a few of my own, and I’ll be sharing our fun Lego Star Wars ideas throughout the week.
I love finding simple, fun ways to pump up the theme of a party without spending a bunch, and coming up with fun names for party foods and drinks is one of my favorites. To make the tags for the drinks, I downloaded a free Star Wars font for the computer, then did a Google Image search for different Lego Star Wars characters to copy & paste beside the name in a word processing document. Then I printed them out on white card stock, and layered that on colored card stock.
For our party, we had three themed drinks:
- Vaderade: Red fruit punch Kool-Aid
- Luke Skywater: just regular ice water with a fun name 🙂
- …and my favorite, Yoda Soda: Green Hawaiian Punch, sparkling grape juice, and lime sherbet
The kids got a kick out of the names, and the only extra effort it took was printing out the names on tags. You could also do the first two by printing out labels that would fit individual bottles of water or Gatorade.
We also had special R2D2 ice to put in the drinks, thanks to this Silicone R2D2 Ice Mold I found on Amazon. So cute! Since this party was for the oldest of my three boys, I figure I’ll get enough parties out of it to make it worth the $10 investment. The Lego Star Wars Cups were also from Amazon.
Stay tuned for more Lego Star Wars party fun throughout the week! Planning a Lego Star Wars party or know someone else who is? We’d love it if you’d Pin or share this post!
