It’s Monday–time to share our dinner-time game plans for the week! A little effort with meal planning at the beginning of the week helps me to provide my family with nutritious, budget-friendly meals, and also allows me to get my act together when our family’s headed in several different directions.
Another busy week ahead, but hopefully the meal plan will keep us on track. We did most of our Memorial Day observances yesterday, so with today being a day at home, I’d like to try to get ahead a little with cooking (and other chores…we definitely need a catch-up day!). I have another request from the boys for homemade meatballs, so I’ll put a big pot on to simmer and that’ll be dinner for tonight and tomorrow. Then once we get through the rest of this week, we’re looking forward to summer vacation–woo hoo!!
Here’s my plan for this week:
Monday: Spaghetti & meatballs (making a huge batch to have leftovers and freeze extra), homemade bread if I get really ambitious 😉
Tuesday: Meatball subs, carrot sticks, fresh fruit (juggling swim lessons & baseball for one more week!)
Wednesday: Dinner out using a gift card
Thursday: Crock pot roast beef with carrots, green beans & potatoes so everyone can just scoop & eat whenever they’re home
Friday: Grilled chicken, baked potatoes, broccoli
Saturday: Homemade pizza, fresh fruit, fresh veggies
Sunday: Grilled hamburgers or hotdogs over a bonfire, baked beans, more fresh fruit & veggies
