It’s Monday–time to share our dinner-time game plans for the week! Every month it seems like we have “one of those weeks,” when we look at the calendar on Sunday evening and say WOW. This month, this is the week. Swimming and soccer for the kids, work and church meetings for the hubs, and a bunch on my agenda too…all of that makes dinnertime a big question mark several days this week.
Looking at the schedule, I’m spotting several days when it would be really tempting to just hit the drive-thru rather than make a meal. That’s when meal planning comes in really handy for me. If I have something planned, I’m more likely to follow through and prepare something at home.
So…here’s the plan:
Monday: Fish Sticks, Mac & Cheese, Apple slices, and Carrot Sticks (kids’ choice–hubbt has a dinner meeting so I let them pick this one!)
Tuesday: Chicken Stir Fry over noodles (hopefully the extra veggies will make up for Monday’s dinner! 😉 )
Wednesday: Dinner at church–Our Wednesday night activities start up this week, and there’s a simple meal provided beforehand so we don’t have to rush through dinner to get to church…I LOVE this!
Thursday: Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, rolls
Friday: Eating on the road this night–can’t be helped! Using a few gift cards though!
Saturday: Family get-together–taking Pumpkin Roll and meat to grill.
Sunday: Pot Roast, Mashed Potatoes, veggie
