It’s Monday–time to share our dinner plans for the week. Meal planning is an important tool for stretching your budget. Plan around food you have on hand, along with what’s on sale for the week.
As I planned for this week, I must admit…I was giddy that soccer season ended this weekend for three of my kids, and I didn’t have to work around our practice schedules for meal planning. We have a few weeks off before the older two try a few weeks of basketball clinics at school. (I know I shouldn’t complain, because 10 years from now when I have four in high school and middle school I’ll look back and say how easy I had it!) For now, I’ll take a week of no evening activities and be thankful! 🙂
Here’s what we’re eating this week. How ’bout you?
Monday: Christmas Breakfast, fresh fruit (we ended up not having this last week)
Tuesday: Cheeseburgers (on the grill if it’s nice out), sweet potato fries, broccoli
Wednesday: Eat at church for Family Night
Thursday: Baked potato soup, salad or veggies & dip, applesauce (I’ll share the soup recipe, plus another great idea for chilly weather!)
Friday: Crock Pot boneless country-style ribs, au gratin potatoes, green beans (something easy since I’m on room mom duty for Halloween parties!)
Saturday: Eating out–happy birthday to me! 🙂
Sunday: Pizza–family birthday party for my little man & me (his birthday is 3 days after mine)
