It’s Monday–time to share our dinner plans for the week. Meal planning is an important tool for stretching your budget. Plan around food you have on hand, along with what’s on sale for the week.
Next weekend is going to be crazy busy for us, so I planned some of my favorite quickie/make-ahead meals for this week. This way I’m spending less time in the kitchen preparing dinner, and I can get our act together for the weekend’s events. I find that if I allow myself some easy dinners when things get crazy, it helps me resist the temptation to just give up and order out!
Here’s what we’re eating this week. How ’bout you?
Monday: Baked Chicken pieces, rice, veggie
Tuesday: Stuffed Shells (frozen from a few weeks ago), salad, carrots & dip (for the ones who don’t like salad), crescent rolls
Wednesday: Eat at church for Family Night
Thursday: Crock Pot Stuffed Pork Chops, Homemade Applesauce, veggie
Friday: Christmas Breakfast, fresh fruit
Saturday: Neighborhood fall picnic: take Apple Strudel and cookies
Sunday: Youth Group Auction at church: take Chili, Chocolate Caramel Covered Apples, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Stupid Dip, and Pumpkin Roll (pics & recipe to come!)
