Why do a weekly meal plan? It can help you use the things you already have in your freezer or pantry, take advantage of sale items, and avoid that evening “what’s for dinner?” panic (and hopefully avoid the temptation of expensive takeout!).
Here’s our plan for dinners this week. It’s a fairly simple week since there’s a lot going on…nothing gourmet, but we’ll do Mardi Gras pancakes and have a little fun with food for Valentine’s Day too. Let us know how you use meal planning to help you manage your budget and minimize mealtime stress!
Monday: Chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries, green beans (Hubby’s working late–keeping it simple with kid favorites!) 🙂
Tuesday: Made-from-scratch pancakes, fresh fruit
Wednesday: Dinner at church for Family Night
Thursday (Valentine’s Day!): Heart-shaped meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, something special for dessert
Friday: We’ll need to hit a drive-thru while we’re traveling–I have some coupons!
Saturday: Dinner with friends
Sunday: Cashing in our Free Papa John’s from the Super Bowl
