May 4 – It’s a ZOO Art There!
Heavy petting is not only expected but encouraged at our May 4 FIRST FRIDAY themed “It’s a Zoo Art There,” when animals will frolic for a fun, feathered and frisky evening in the Canton Arts District. Stark Parks will be toting toads, turtles and tarantulas while SarahCare hosts Outback Ray and his Amazing Animal Show and Aultman Hospital’s WOW van brings therapy dogs for a tail wagging treat before the screening of MADAGASCAR, the free film at The Palace Theatre. Canton Glass Works will demo a glassmaking of fish, pigs and penguins while GlenOak’s High School’s art department is primed to paint animals on kids’ faces. Music includes Underground Airplanes, Jimmy Chesterfield, Ginger Ackley, Matt Basso and the Malone University Chamber Choir.
