It doesn’t take a lot to make a guy happy during the big March games! A remote, a Coke and good food is all it takes to soothe my husband’s failed bracket ego.  Anytime he can get his buddies to come over and hang out in the man cave  is a good day!

I set up a card table for some quick snacks for the kiddos. I ended up doling out paper and markers so each child could make their own half-court game plan using the mini Reese’s Cups. Who knew something so easy, would be so fun and time-consuming for the children!

I headed to Giant Eagle to grab what I needed for our menu. Giant Eagle made it super-easy to pick up some snacks and throw together some manly food options.  Even better, look for coupons at the March Madness displays.   My little sidekicks are always big helpers whether shopping, cooking or posing 🙂 Meg has to make sure that all of her smiles include her bottom row of missing teeth!

I put out a pineapple/onion cheese ball as an appetizer.  This may sound like a weird combination, but it’s a favorite in our house! I get asked for this recipe every single time it is served! I just spread it out on my cutting board with Triscuits, Ritz and Wheatables.  You can find the Pineapple and Onion Cheese ball Recipe HERE.

Giant Eagle had their Chuck Shoulder Roasts B1G1 which made the menu choice super-easy! I knew I needed to get prep done early with hosting on Sunday and the commitment of church. So I opted to make Coca-Cola Roast Beef Sliders with Carmelized Onions and Garlic Lemon Aioli.  This is the easiest roast recipe EVER!  I used two 2.5 pound chuck roasts, 1 bottle of Coca-Cola and two packets of Lipton Easy Recipe French Onion Soup. I threw some carrots in there too, because I love them stewed in this tasty marinade.

Since the Coca-Cola Roast was done in the crockpot and I had some time, I made the guys up some beef sliders by toasting some King’s Hawaiian Rolls and topping it off with caramelized onions and garlic lemon aioli. I served them with Roasted Olive Oil Potatoes (so simple to make and what guy doesn’t like potatoes!).

Our basketball day of bracket fun was topped off with these Killer Brownies! You can find the complete recipe for Killer Brownies HERE.  Don’t forget you can snag the Reese’s and Oreos at Giant Eagle on sale right now (look for the coupons too!).

Killer Brownies are SO simple to make!  Make a 13 x9 Brownie Mix according to the directions.
Press and spread out a 24 pack of refrigerated cookie dough on a greased brownie pan. You can use a regular brownie pan and they’re actually moister.
