Happy Monday! Today was our last day of Spring Break, so we spent the day hanging out, and I forgot to post our weekly meal plan till after the kiddos were all tucked in!
Last week in the Meal Planning class, we talked about what to do when some members of your family are picky eaters. I joked that with 6 people in my family, there’s usually someone who’s not thrilled with my choice of dinner…I just try not to plan two back-to-back dinners that make the same kid whine, and nobody will starve.
I don’t have the time, energy, or desire to be a short-order cook, so we go by the “no-thank-you bite” rule in our house (they always have to at least try things). That being said, every once in a while I’ll make something a little more kid-friendly to go along with something the hubs and I want to have, and that’s what I did today…no whining, no waste, and we’ll keep working on trying new things the rest of the week 🙂
Monday: Beef stroganoff/spaghetti, applesauce
Tuesday: Honey garlic chicken, rice, broccoli *bumped from last week
Wednesday: Pizza party at church
Thursday: Crock Pot Roast Beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans
Friday: Tacos, fresh fruit
Saturday: Daddy-daughter date night, so the boys will get to pick something to have with Mommy!
Sunday: Pork chops, noodles, peas
