A little about me:
Hi! I’m Sara, of Sisters Shopping on a Shoestring. My family and I live near Canton, Ohio. I got started with couponing out of necessity. After years of infertility treatments, my husband and I were blessed with Mia through invitro-fertilization. I wanted to take a year off and stay home with her and keep up with our lifestyle. Coupons afforded me that. A year later, Meghan was conceived – NATURALLY! Yeah, our surprise! So, I tightened the reigns even more and began to coupon seriously. It has since become a lifestyle. Now that I’m back to work, coupons are helping me attain my new goal to be debt-free and be able to afford my girls a college education.
I have been married to my best friend, Jim, for 14 years. I am a mother of two little girls, ages 6 and 4. By day, I am a sixth grade Special Education teacher. I am in my 16th year of teaching. I have a Bachelors, Masters, and am all-but-dissertation for my PhD.
After the daily grind of life, I blog after the kids are down, the hubby is plugged into the TV. I have come to love the relationship with my fellow Sister and Mister Shoestring Shoppers and consider many of you extended family.
With having two full-time jobs and young children, I still find time to coupon. Couponing has to fit into YOUR lifestyle and it can. With organization and understanding key concepts, it CAN be done. It’s a GREAT return on your time!
